Central President of Sajjan Union Towns Municipal Corporations Karachi Syed Zulfiqar Shah and Spokesman Abbas Ahmed have said that the monthly salaries of the employees sent to 6 towns from Sindh Solid Waste Management Board for the month of August after that Gulshan Iqbal Town, Chanesar Town, Safora Town, Jinnah Town and Lyari Town issued salaries to solid waste staff.
But due to the absence of Municipal Commissioner in Saddar Town, salary cheques of solid waste staff monthly salaries and dues still delayed.
Chairman Saddar Town’s appointment of temporary Municipal Commissioner is not endorsed by the local government.
This month’s regular salaries are also getting delayed due to the order not being issued from there.
Due to which there is severe anxiety among the employees and the employees protested strongly at Sanitation Office Sadar Town early this morning.
They said that if the payment of monthly salaries and dues are not ensured by appointing a municipal commissioner within the next 48 hours, then the town and local government administration will be responsible for the bad situation.
