Sindh Journalists Council (SJC) annual election held on Wednesday at its central secretariat in Karachi in which Rafiq Bhutto elected as Patron in Chief, Qazi Zulfiqar as President and Shahid Siyal as General Secretary of SJC.
It was learned that SJC election held under the supervision of Election Committee Chairman Ghani Mujahid.
However, Syed Munawar Alam elected as Senior Vice President, Najeeb Ullah Naich as Vice President, Asad Arain as Joint Seretary, Abdullah Solangi as Deputy Secretary, M. Saleem Jhandir as Finance Secretary and Shabbir Lashari as Information Secretary for the year 2022-2023.
Bouquets of flowers were presented to all newly elected body of SJC in a General Body Meeting of Council.
Whereas, Ghazi Jhandir Ex President and Founder of SJC stated that, during seven years period council members have unite journalists from Karachi to kashmore by their struggle.
He also expressed hope that newly elected body will continue the struggle for the betterment of journalists and to raise voice for their rights.
