Sindh High Court ordered on Monday for action against those police personals and officers who involve in selling of Gutka, Mawa including other unhygienic items.
While hearing an application against selling of Gutka and Mawa in Karachi, Honorable Justice Salahuddin Panwhar asked to prepare the list of those officers name including the details of assets who involve in selling of Gutka and Mawa.
In his remarks Honorable SHC Judge stated that Gutka and Mawa selling not possible without the support of police and asked to ensure the implementation on its ban.
However, SHC Judge told police to get the support of Rangers and the court would also direct Rangers to support police for taking action against Gutka and Mawa sellers.
Whereas Court has granted application of Advocate Mumtaz Muzammil to be a party in the said case.
Advocate Mumtaz Muzammil informed the Honorable SHC Judge that SHO Landhi Police Station has released the real culprit who involve in selling Gutka and showed arrest of another person.
The SHC also sought a report from DIG East on the action taken against police officers, SHO Landhi and DSP Landhi.
In an statement to the SHC, Advocate Mumtaz Muzammil mentioned that SI- Adnan is running 92 dry Gutka who is posted at IG office.
