Secretary Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Government of Sindh Engineer Syed Najam Ahmad Shah has visited Manora Beach Up Front Site with his team.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had also recently visited Manora Beach Up Front Project few days back. The Manora Beach Uplift Project is a project developed by KDA and its operational process will be overseen by the Pakistan Navy. Informing about the details of the visit, Engineer Syed Najam Ahmad Shah said that for the people of Karachi, the Manora Beach Uplift Project, developed by the Sindh government at a cost of Rs 650 million, will be a world class entertainment destination for families. People will be able to enjoy it with great satisfaction and peace.
According to the Secretary Local Government Sindh, as per international standards, 29 shelters have been set up on the beach of Manora, under the shade of which one can easily enjoy the waves of the sea. State of the art amusement parks have been decorated with flowers and beautiful plants as well as a zoological garden has also been established. A children’s play area has also been provided for the kids coming with families where they can enjoy picnic with foolproof security. Najam Ahmad Shah said that Sindh government has also provided clean wash rooms and food court facility at the beach. At night, the beauty of the newly built

After visiting Manora beach, Secretary Local Government Syed Najam Ahmad Shah visited Maripur Y Junction Road where he inspected the ongoing activities related to road construction and repair. Giving instructions on the occasion, Secretary Local Government Sindh asked Deputy Commissioner Kemari to make proper arrangements for cleaning and regular maintenance of the newly constructed road, to control the unnecessary influx of heavy trawlers, and to remove debris from the road regularly.
All the vicinity roads should be cleared of stalls, vehicles should not be allowed to park on service roads and the surrounding area should be cleared of all unrelated persons including the occupation mafia. Talking to our correspondent, Najam Ahmad Shah said that the construction of Maripur Road at a cost of Rs. 1400 million would be completed soon.
Later, the Secretary Local Government Sindh inspected the Padnai Nala at Hawks Bay Junction and also inspected the 250 acres of land under consideration for rehabilitation of Nala victims in Mandiari. Secretary Local Government Najam Ahmad Shah also visited Benazir Bhutto Town and Civil Services Staff Society where he issued various instructions during a detailed visit and issued orders emphasizing on further improving the quality and speed of construction activities.
