In a statement issued by the spokesperson of Sindh Building Control Authority, it has been clarified that many officers and officials have been suspended on the suspicion of involvement in the patronage of illegal constructions and an impartial investigation process is ongoing against them.
During this time, these officers and officials have been closely monitored and at present they have been kept out from all the affairs of SBCA.
In a statement, SBCA Spokesman has expressed his regret for the process of giving wrong impression to the public about the transparent demolition campaign and said that in a local newspaper yesterday news published about the influence of the suspended officials in the process of demolition is the result of a misunderstanding which is completely baseless and contrary to the facts.
Publishing news without research is against journalistic principles. It has been clarified in the statement that the demolition staff of SBCA is carrying out heavy demolition work on a daily basis without any holiday in spite of limited resources and precautions.
However, lists of illegal constructions are prepared with details, Everyone’s number will come soon as it is not possible to demolish all illegal constructions on one time.
