Salaries and pension of KDA Employees increased due to CBA efforts, Syed Imran Hussain

Karachi:  On the instructions of Naveed Anwar Siddiqui, Patron in Chief of KDA Employees Union CBA, a delegation of CBA headed by Union Organizer Syed Imran Hussain Jafri met with Director General Pervez Baloch and Secretary Karachi Development Authority Khalid Zafar Hashmi.

In the meeting, the CBA delegation requested to ensure the implementation on Sindh Government notification of 35% increase in the salaries of government employees and 17.5% increase in pension in current year’s budget.

On the request of CBA delegation including Imran Hussain, President Abdul Maruf General Secretary Qamar Abbas, the Director General of Karachi Development Corporation issued orders to increase the salaries of employees by 35 percent and pension by 17.5 percent.
Later, Secretary Karachi Development Authority Khalid Zafar Hashmi issued a formal notification of immediate increase in the salaries and pension of the employees.
Whereas during meeting, CBA President Abdul Maroof, Nadeem Khokhar including Mohammad Aziz and other officials were also present along with the delegation.

However, Union Organizer Syed Imran Hussain said CBA is grateful to the Director General Karachi Development Corporation Pervez Baloch and Secretary Khalid Zafar Hashmi who resolved the long-standing problem of the employees by ensuring the implementation on CBA’s request.

Imran Hussain further said that the CBA will continue to raise its voice at every forum to achieve the legitimate rights of the workers of Karachi Development Authority.

CBA strives day and night to achieve the rights of employees with honesty, integrity and impartiality, regardless of color, caste, nationality, sect and creed, he added.

President CBA Abdul Maroof said on this occasion that 35% increase in salaries and 17.5% increase in pension was a long-standing problem of the employees, for which CBA office bearers worked tirelessly to solve it.

Abdul Maroof further said that the 35% increase in salaries is a ray of light for the employees in this era of inflation.
