Resolving Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiris is need of the hour; Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan

Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Bureau of Supply and Prices, in his statement issued on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, said that the entire Pakistani nation expresses solidarity with the oppressed people of Occupied Kashmir on Kashmir Exploitation Day.

The Modi government had dealt a severe blow to the independence of Kashmir by repealing Articles 370 and 35A, while the abolition of the special status of the state of Kashmir has exposed the ugly face of India to the world.

Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiris.

He said that we as Pakistani would continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris at every forum till they get the right to self-determination while seeking freedom from Indian occupation is their democratic, human and moral right.

He further said that for lasting peace and development and prosperity in the region, the Kashmir issue needs to be resolved immediately keeping in view the urgent UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Special Assistant said that the geography of Kashmir was controversial in the United Nations while the inclusion of Kashmir in India without a referendum was an expression of imperialist ideology.

Special Assistant Dr. Khatu Mil Jeewan said that Pakistan Peoples Party under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is continuing its struggle to give Kashmiris the right to vote while former President Asif Ali Zardari during his tenure demanded the right of Kashmiris to self-determination at every forum.

Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan said that the United Nations and all international forums should take the Kashmir issue seriously so that this grievous issue of Kashmiris can be resolved immediately.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister said that the Kashmiris and Pakistani people including the minority community Brothers and sisters are and will remain.
