Karachi : A Letter of Intent signing ceremony held between Provincial Tobacco Control Cell Sindh (PTCCS) and Human Rights Youth Organization (HRYO) at HRYO head office in Karachi.
On behalf of PTCCS Tanveer Qaimkhani Provincial Coordinator Provincial Tobacco Control Cell Sindh and Hamza Zulfiqar Vice President of HRYO signed this LoI.
It was aimed to spread awareness among masses specially youth regarding tobacco use hazards and tobacco control existing laws .
It was also agreed in this LoI to jointly work regarding awareness of noval tobacco products.
On this occasion Provincial Coordinator PTCCS stated that this LoI would be proven a break through in saving lives of future generations from the deadly impacts of tobacco use on their health.
He said that Tobacco use takes more than 160,000 people lives in Pakistan which is one of the biggest concern, PTCCS with the Collaboration of Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and District Departments is trying its best to ensure compliance on Tobacco Control laws and to spread awareness among masses about tobacco use hazards.
Whereas HRYO Vice President assured that HRYO will fully support PTCCS in this noble cause.
Officials of PTCCS and HRYO office bearers and members were also present in the ceremony.
