The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) USA Minority Wing, in collaboration with prominent party members from various states, held a grand celebration to commemorate the 70th birthday of the esteemed leader, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
The event took place in Philadelphia, where distinguished personalities, including Abdul Rauf Bhally, Vice President & Focal Person for the Overseas Pakistanis & HRD, Vajeesh Partab, Ejaz Ahmad from New York City,Sohail Ahmed President of PPP USA Pennsylvania State and Farazullah Khan, the Deputy General Secretary of PPP USA Washington DC Chapter & Focal Person of the Overseas Pakistani & HRD, joined the festivities.
Highlighting the significance of this occasion, PPP USA Minority Wing General Secretary, Justin Pervaiz, delivered a warm welcome note and offered prayers for the eternal peace and salvation of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. The President of the Minority Wing of USA, Mr. Hashmat Barkat, emphasized the extraordinary legacy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, considering her unparalleled contributions in the history of Pakistan. He praised her relentless efforts in advocating for democracy, while also acknowledging her support for religious freedom as a fundamental right for all citizens of Pakistan.
Vice President Abdul Rauf Bhally reiterated the need to promote the vision of the late leader, stating, “Democracy is the best revenge.” He emphasized the importance of strengthening the democratic process within the political system of Pakistan. Farazullah Khan, another focal person of the event, expressed his delight in joining the celebration with Christian brothers and emphasized the significance of leveraging social media platforms to enhance the party’s perception and promote the positive image of Pakistan.
The event witnessed the participation of several dignitaries and prominent figures from the party, including Mr. Shammas Shamaun, the Information Secretary of the Minority Wing of PPP USA, Mr. Sadaqat Sardar, General Secretary of Pennsylvania State, Arfan Gill, President of PPP USA Minority Wing Pennsylvania State, Amin Masih, Vice President of PPP USA Minority Wing, and Nazir Choudhry, Senior Vice President of Minority Wing of Pennsylvania State. They all paid tribute to the late Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, recognizing her invaluable contributions to the party and the nation.
