KARACHI: The ceremony of prizes and certificates distribution among the successful students in the annual examinations of the schools of the Education Department of the DMC South (Lyari and Sadar Zone) was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Lyari and Jamshed Ahmad Khan School Hijrat Colony.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest Provincial Minister for Women Development Sindh, Shehla Raza, Administrator South Hammad ND Khan, President of PPP District South Khalil Hoth, and Director Education South Mohammad Raeesi gave awards and shields to position holders in exams of various classes.
Speaking on the occasion of the distribution, Provincial Minister Shehla Raza said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto dreamed that education should be free and accessible for all children in the country. We are determined to complete the mission of our martyred leader.
I am sure that just as Lyari is famous for sports all over the world, in the same way, due to the efforts of the administration of South Municipality, the children from the same public schools have excelled in the country, she added.
Shehla Raza said that the Pakistan People’s Party has not only done significant work for the improvement of schools in Lyari but also established medical and degree colleges in the name of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University.
“I feel very happy to see the provision and promotion of education in line with the requirements of the new era, she said.
The Administrator of South, Hammad ND Khan said that we consider improvement in the education sector as a top priority.
It would be much better if the students studying in public schools, despite having abilities, could not be left behind due to the dual system of education, that is why the municipalities are adapting the schools of the South to the requirements of the modern era. Hammad ND Khan further said that the South municipality has the honour that the number of children studying in its public schools is more than in other districts and the reason is that we have created such an environment in our public schools from the beginning to attract more students and provide them quality education due to which the parents trust the public schools of the municipality of South.
On this occasion, Administrator South invited the representatives of social organizations and asked them to come and work with us for the promotion of education in the entire South district because I want to see every child in my district equipped with the jewel of education”, he said.
President Khalil Hot said that today’s Lyari has progressed a lot in the field of education and sports compared to the past and with the joint efforts of all of us, Lyari will get its top position very soon.
Director of Education Muhammad Raisi congratulated all the position-holder students and appreciated the role of teachers and parents in their success.
