A program of Defence Day (Youm-e-Shauhdas) under the platform of Paigham-e-Pakistan was held on at Happy Palace School, Rashid Minhas Road, Karachi with the collaboration of Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Institutions Sindh.

Mr. Zahid Ali Abbasi, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department was the chief guest on the occasion.

Mufti Muhammad Zubair, Member, Islamic Ideological Council was the guest of honour.

Mr. Sajjad Tanoli, Organizer Paigham-e-Pakistan, Sindh Chapter, Mrs. Rafia Javed, Additional Director, Mr. Muhammad Afzal, Director General, Mr. Akhlaq Ahmed Monitoring officer, and other officers of Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh and were also presented at the occasion.

In his speech, Mr. Zahid Ali Abbasi emphasized the importance of safeguarding and developing the nation, reminding attendees that Pakistan was founded on the sacrifices of countless lives.

He urged everyone to take collective responsibility for the country’s security, progress, solidarity and unity.

He further encouraged students to work diligently for the nation’s development, he further said that the martyrs of Pakistan are a source of pride, having given their lives for the country and its people.

In his speech, Mufti Muhammad Zubair emphasized the importance of prioritizing political parties and adopting a broader perspective that goes beyond religious and sectarian divisions.

He highlighted that the authority to administer punishment rests solely with the courts and that no individual or group has the right to impose punishments on their own.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the crucial role of the Pakistan Army in safeguarding the nation’s borders, which allows us to sleep peacefully at night, knowing that our security is in capable hands.

Mrs. Rafia Javed, in her opening speech, highlighted the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army and called upon the teachers and students to actively contribute to the unity and prosperity of our beloved country. Our martyrs are our pride, as they have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and the nation.

She extends her heartfelt tribute and gratitude to Mr. Asif Khan, Chairman of the Happy Palace Group; Mr. Ather Khan, Executive Director; and Mrs. Maliha Khan, Director, for organizing this well-disciplined and well-mannered program with great zeal and patriotism.

The school children presented tableaus and delivered speeches in observance of Defence Day, highlighting patriotism and the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army.
