Organizing awareness campaign to improve socio-economic welfare of cooperative societies; Wajid Shaikh Registrar Cooperative Societies 

 

 

An awareness campaign was organized in Bahadur Yar Jang Club under the supervision of Registrar Wajid Ali Sheikh on behalf of Cooperative Societies .

Speaking on this occasion , Registrar Cooperative Societies Wajid Ali Sheikh said that at present around one and a half billion people are part of cooperative societies in the world and there are more than 300 million societies in the world.

 

He added , ‘ Currently our neighboring country is developing because of cooperative housing societies. Just look at Australia, it is another glaring example in this regard . Co-operative societies are the easiest solution to poverty alleviation ‘ .

He said that an awareness campaign had been launched by Sindh Government Cooperative Department to fulfill the desired goals and objectives and the purpose of this awareness campaign was to improve the social and economic well-being of the cooperative societies’ members and to promote the development of the community.

The goals and objectives of the awareness campaign represent the long-term vision of the societies.

Ms. Saira Sheikh and Muzamil Hussain Jalbani from Sindh High Court and Cooperative Department Officer Nadeem Solangi also attended the event.

Focal person Rabia Khan presented model examples of NITA crafts cooperative society nasarpur and Mehran cooperative producer society Shikarpur, Deputy Registrar(legal) Mansoor Ahmed Siddiqui and others also addressed on this occasion.
