Muttahida Workers Front CBA Water Corporation meeting focuses on Labour Division Foundation Day Celebrations and Employee Dues

 

 The Muttahida Workers Front CBA Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation hold a crucial meeting at the CBA Head Office, focusing on finalizing plans for Foundation Day celebrations of Labour Division and addressing the pressing issue of employee dues.

Irshad Khan, Chairman and Incharge of the Muttahida Workers Front CBA, addressed the office bearers and workers emphasizing the importance of finalizing the Foundation Day program scheduled for February 26th.

He stated that senior leaders from the Rabta Committee and the entire Labour Division would be present at the celebration.

He urged all office bearers and workers to mobilize within their respective divisions and begin preparations to ensure the event’s success.

Regarding employee payments, Irshad Khan assured that the CBA is actively working with the administration to resolve the outstanding dues.
He highlighted that the CBA recently facilitated payments of approximately 600 million rupees to employees under various heads using the FIFO method.

Concerning the dues of retired employees, he announced that a press conference would be held on Wednesday, February 27th, in Bahadurabad, where central leaders will address the issue.
He encouraged all retired employees to attend and advocate for their rights.

Speaking about the DPC 2022 (Departmental Promotion Committee), Irshad Khan advised employees to disregard misleading rumors and propaganda.

He affirmed that the CBA will not allow any reversal of the DPC.

He also announced that the new DPC-II will be conducted soon, emphasizing that promotions will be based solely on merit.

Joint Incharge & Senior Vice President Jameel Saudagar, General Secretary Wasim Ibrahim, Joint In-Charge Anwar Habib and Nadeem Yousuf also addressed the meeting.

They emphasized the need for all office bearers and workers to actively participate and ensure the success of the Foundation Day program.

They reiterated that the Water Corporation is the backbone of the Labour Division and they are committed to maintaining its strength within the Muttahida Workers Front.
General Secretary Wasim Ibrahim delivered positive news regarding the Charter of Demands, stating that it is in the final stages of approval.

He highlighted that the CBA has presented a comprehensive charter, addressing the employees’ needs.

He also announced that new allowances, introduced for the first time in the Water Corporation’s history and he assured that employees will soon see significant financial benefits upon the charter’s approval.
