The bodies of a woman and a man were found from a house in the Khairabad area of Manghopir, who were killed by the brothers of the murdered woman in the name of honor.
Karachi police received a report of a woman and a man being killed in a house located at Street No. 3 near Khairabad Aman Chowk in the Manghopir area. The concerned police station reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased was identified as 30 years old Mukhtar Ali son of Liaqat Ali while the deceased was identified as 28 years old Dur Bibi wife of Abdul Rauf.
The younger brother of the deceased Nisar and elder brother Ikhtiar while talking to the Daily City News said that they belong from Larkana Rato Dero, while they have 4 brothers and the deceased Mukhtar was second, unmarried and was working at Zia Pakwan near Ittihad Town Eid ga Chowk while the victim was her cousin.
Nisar said that he and his elder brother Ikhtiar used to work in two separate hotels near North Karachi Chowrangi. On Tuesday night when he was at work near Donminute Chowrangi minute, his brother Mukhtar got a call and he said that he is going for some work in Ittihad Town, but between Tuesday and Wednesday at around 2 pm, his elder brother Ikhtiar told him on the phone call that Mukhtar had been killed. When he reached home, his mother said that she was sleeping at home at night when the doorbell rang. When she reached the door, Mukhtar was covered in blood on the doorstep.
Her cousin Dur Bibi, who lives near her house, was killed by her brother after hearing the noise, the people of the neighborhood gathered and informed the police.
Talking to Daily City news SHO Manghophir police said the incident was a murder in the name of honor, a man and a woman were killed in a room of the house, Mukhtar who was injured when he reached home, informed his mother about the incident. It has been confirmed that the victims were killed by the victim’s brother, but it has not been confirmed yet who killed the victim as the victim has three brothers and all three brothers have fled since the incident, police said the one of a family member of the accused were taken into custody for further investigation.
