A robbery occurred at the residence of media professional Nadir Shamir in Al-Noor Society, Sector 32-A, Zia Colony, Korangi No. 1. According to reports, the incident took place on September 6 when five unidentified individuals forced their way into the house.
They held the family members, including women, hostage and locked them in a room while searching the entire house. The robbers made off with salary money, mobile phones, and gold jewelry.
Nadir Shamir’s father has lodged an FIR, but no significant progress has been made in identifying or apprehending the culprits so far.
Speaking to the media, Nadir Shamir, who had recently returned from Kenya after covering Christian worship services, expressed his suspicion that the robbers may have targeted him due to his foreign trip, assuming they would find a large sum of money.
Nadir Shamir has appealed to authorities to ensure the swift arrest of the culprits, stating that the incident has left him and his family under severe mental and emotional distress.
He emphasized that such an outcome would allow him to continue his evangelical and worship activities without fear.
Nadir’s father, Shamir Khan, mentioned that the family has no personal enmities, disputes, or financial conflicts, making this robbery an unexpected and shocking event for them.
CCTV footage from the neighborhood shows the suspects entering the house by jumping over the wall, with their faces masked.
