Mazdoor Union CBA organized seminar in KDA Civic Center to discuss labour issues

A seminar organized by Mazdoor Union CBA of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) at Seminar Hall of KDA Civic Center Karachi to discuss the issues of labour. 

 

Abdul Mateen Sheikh Chairman Mazdoor Union CBA, Habib Uddin Junaidi President Peoples Labour Bureau ,Muhammad Ashraf President KDA Peoples Labour Union, Khalid Khan President Karachi Division of National Federation, M.Arif Mashwani General Secretary Pakistan Railway Federation, Zulfiqar Shah Chairman KMC Sajjan Union and Baldiyat Fedration, Mr Noorani from Chamber of Commerce, Rana Mushtaq Chairman Hockey Federation including office bearers of different labour unions and large number of journalists, social activists attended the event and shared their views regarding the current situation of labour in Pakistan.

While Speaking on the occasion Habib Uddin Junaidi stated that “we are trying our best to make 25 thousand minimum wage applicable in all over Sindh to provide relief to all labourers”.

He asked that Government should do cut in top bureaucracy allowances and do not reduce any allowance of lower grade employees as due to high inflation it is very hard for them to fulfill the basic needs.

On the question regarding non operational KDA Pipe Factory, Muhammad Ashraf informed Daily City News that Minister Local Government is considering this issue and soon pipe factory would be operational which would prove beneficial for financial stability of KDA.
