Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) sign a Document of Understanding (DoU) to host startups at the LUAWMS. The startups are from the project, Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA), an initiative of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch, Vice Chancellor LUAWMS and Mr. Abdullah Soomro, Project Director PMNIA signed the DoU.
Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch, Vice Chancellor LUAWMS said that we are excited about our role in fostering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Country.
Mr. Javed Ali Memon, Director/ Incharge HEC Regional Centre Karachi said that HEC since its inception is working for socio-economic development of the Country through focusing on high quality education and access to it along with conceiving and executing creative and innovative projects.
Mr. Abdullah Soomro said that the aim of signing the DoU is part of a follow-up initiative of PMNIA to provide Pakistani youth with an opportunity to secure funding, along with essential technical and professional support to transform their ideas into thriving businesses.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nawaz, Registrar LUAWMS, Mr. Faqeer Baloch, Deputy Registrar, LUAWMS, Ms. Saira Andaleeb, Deputy Director, PMNIA and Ms. Shizzah Ejaz, Assistant Director, PMNIA were also present on this occasion.
