CEO Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed while addressing the participants during the protest against privatization arranged by Muttahida Workers Front CBA in front of MD Secretariat Karsaz, said that the KW&SB will not be privatized and no employee will be fired.
While on Monday, problems of employees will be solved by sitting with CBA, COO KW&SB Engineer Asadullah Khan was also present on this occasion, CEO said that my doors are always open for all employees of KW&SB.
He said that when I came to know that the funeral expenses & financial assistance to the families of employees who died during the service are not being paid on time, I felt very sad, I have issued orders to resolve this important issue of employees immediately، In this regard, DMD Finance KW&SB has issued a notification yesterday, according to which, in order to provide immediate relief to the families of the employees who died during service, the funeral expenses & financial assistance will be paid within 15 days, Reforms & further improvements are being made in the medical department to provide better medical facilities to the employees.
Regarding the arrears of the KW&SB employees, he said that payments will be made to the employees through the collection of land revenue.
He further said that providing better medical facilities to the employees & solving all their problems is among our top priorities.
The leaders of Muttahida Workers Front CBA Chairman Irshad Ahmed Khan including others ended the demonstration by thanking the CEO & COO for announcement of not privatizing the KW&SB.
