KDA Employees Union wins CBA Referendum with huge majority

Karachi  : KDA Employees Union, an affiliated Union of United Labour Federation MQM Pakistan won the CBA Referendum in Karachi Development Authority (KDA) with a huge majority by getting more than 60 percent of votes , which was held on Monday after almost six years.

According to the consolidated result sheet issued by Joint Director Labour South Division, Total 1367 votes casted in the referendum However, KDA Employees Union with the symbol of Mukka have got 863 votes, PPP affiliated KDA Labour Union with the second position got 367 votes, KDA Mazdoor Union a previous CBA got 91 votes and KDA Workers Union got 34 votes.

It was learned that KDA Employees Union won the CBA referendum with more than 60 percent of margin, the employees of KDA chanted slogans in favour of MQM Pakistan and Employees union after the announcement of winning the referendum with a huge majority.

While Speaking on the occasion, Imran Hussain Jafri Joint Incharge of Employees union assured all the employees of KDA to resolve their basic issue and will take practical steps to resolve their each and every issue.

Whereas, Abdul Maroof Chairman Employees Union thanked all the employees of KDA for casting their votes in favour of MQM Pakistan affiliated Union and asked the management to take immediate steps in addressing the problems of employees.

On the occasion Yasir Ali Khan, Information Secretary Employees Union stated that “ We have won the CBA referendum with a huge majority and now people will see that through our practical steps KDA will get financially stable”.

He also said resolution of every employee issue will now be the priority of CBA and would ensure implementation on our manifesto .
