KDA Employees Union urges to prioritize up to 15-grade staff for payment of salaries & Pensions

KDA Employees Union Patron in Chief Navaid Anwer Siddiqui in a joint statement of union urged Member Finance & Director Finance KDA to spent the money of 200 Million which the department got from Sindh government on a merit basis.

He stated that the total expenditure of department including salaries, pensions and others are 3500 Million whereas the department has got 200 Million from the Provincial government as a monthly grant due to the shortfall of around 1500 million , he asked Member Finance of KDA Qazi Abdul Qadir and Director Finance Atta Abbas that the department could not pay the salaries of all employees from this amount.

He urged top officials of KDA to spent the money in first phase for the payment of 1 to 15 grade employees salaries, contract employees salaries , lower grade employees pension and at least one month payment of workcharge employees.

Navaid Anwer demanded management to pay as per the given schedule of union and then arrange the payment for above 15 grade staff on a priority basis as every person is facing severe financial crisis due to lockdown.

He informed that because of lockdown due to the possible spread of coronavirus department is not generating income so they have to arrange all the amount of salaries and pensions from other resources.

Moreover he asked DG Karachi Development Authority for reopening of Habib Bank Civic Center branch for the ease of employees .
