Contract School Teachers of Karachi Development Authority met with Member Administration KDA Abdul Qadeer Mangi on Monday headed by President of KDA Employees Union Nadeem Khokhar and Spokesman of union Muhammad Abdul Maroof.
Expressing their concerns contract teachers shared that they were performing their duties from the last 3 to 5 years and they were teaching the students on a regular basis, now all contract teachers contract has been ended.
They further informed that despite revoke of the contract still, we are performing our duties because we don’t want to interrupt the study of students. Moreover, they urged for the rehiring of contract teachers on an immediate basis.
Speaking with the delegation KDA Member Administration stated that, He will recommend the rehiring file of contract teachers on a priority basis and also assured for the recommendation of an increase in salary of contract employees from 15 thousand to 20 thousand rupees.
At last, the delegation of KDA Employees Union paid thanks to the KDA official for the positive response regarding the redressal of their grievances.
It was learned that women contract teachers from KDA School Federal B Area, North Nazimabad School, and COD School were present in the meeting.
