Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori today took oath of office as 34th Governor of Sindh province in a simple but impressive ceremony here this evening at Governor House.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh administrated oath to him.Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Khan Durrani Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Imtiaz Shaikh, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Member National Assembly Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,Member Provincial Assembly Khawaja Izahar ul Hussan, ex-Mayor Waseem Akhtar, Special Assistant to CM Waqar Mehdi, Principal Secretary to Governor Sindh Dr. Syed Saif ur Rehaman, Addl. IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho and People from various walk of life including business community were present on the occasion.
After the oath Chief Minister Sindh, Speaker Sindh Assembly and others congrtulated Kamran khan Tessori on assuming the office of Governor Sindh.
Talking on the occasion Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori pledged to discharge his official obligation in consultation with each of everyone.
He also pledged to take up the case of Sindh at each and every relevant forum.
It is pertinent to mention here that President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi under article 101(1) of constitution approved appointment of Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori as Governor Sindh yesterday.
The post of Governor Sindh was lying vacant since the resignation of Mr. Imran Ismail and Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Khan Durrani was performing duties as acting Governor Sindh.
