Jinnah Sindh Medical University inaugurated its sixth branch of JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory Services at Defense Housing Authority phase 2 extension in Karachi.
The inauguration was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Muhammad Tariq Rafi, Head of Diagnostic Laboratory services Professor Mehmood Hasan, Chairperson AIPH-JSMU Professor Lubna Ansari-Baig, Registrar Dr Azam Khan, Director Finance Adil Rasheed, Director Works and Services Mohammad Azam Uqaili, and Professor Dur Mohammad and Professor Naila Tariq alongwith the Manager Hasnain Abbas.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor S.M.Tariq Rafi said that the laboratory works on a not-for-profit model and charges nominal fees for diagnostic services.
The purpose of expanding JSMU collection points is to facilitate the patients coming from far-off areas in search for affordable healthcare services.
In charge Diagnostic Laboaratory services Professor Mehmood Hasan said that JSMU Lab offers state-of-the-art facilities, radiology services, automated pathological lab, and primary healthcare services for a nominal fee with a goal to serve humanity.
Manager Hasnain Abbas announced at the occasion that the new branch is offering 30% discount on all tests as well as free sugar and cholesterol tests for clients.
