Joint Action Committee, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) organized Eid Milan Gathering for professors, doctors, teachers, officers, nurses, employees and paramedical medical staff in which family members of retired and martyred employees who lost their lives during COVID pandemic invited to praise their efforts for the department.
While speaking with participants Zaman Mulhan, Convener of Joint Action Committee and President Young Nursing Association Dow Unit stated that, because of our joint struggle now DUHS employees are aware about their basic rights and in past from decades they were unaware about their rights including allowances ,promotions and others.
However Qaim Ali President of Dow University Employees Association shared , we are peaceful people we want to work for the betterment of department but some people are defaming us just to save their seats .
If management would support us then it would be beneficial for DUHS and we will continue our struggle to speak about the rights of employees, he added
Whereas Aziz Ahmed President DUHS Officers Welfare Association said, From 18 years of DUHS formation it is first time that a huge gathering were organized whose chief guests are the family members of martyred and retired employees who gave their whole life to DUHS.
Further he asked management for compliance on Top Court orders to prepare the papers of retired employees before 6 months of retirement so that they will not face delay in getting their dues.
Moreover Joint Action Committee Office bearers Talib Hussain and Rauf Mugheri asked the management to give employment to the family members of deceased, martyred and retired employees and provide all basic facilities to the employees.
At last gifts were distributed among the family members of retired and martyred employees and cake were also cut to celebrated Eid Milan. The gathering was attended by the large number of DUHS employees including people from other walks of life.
