Haji Nawaz Brohi expressed hope to make TMC Manghopir a model town
Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi Chairman Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir has said that our new town is the largest town in Karachi, which consists of 16 UCs, in which Yusuf Goth UC is the top, which gets flooded every year during the rains.
We have accepted this UC as a challenge for us from day one, he added.
The chairman said that, There is a lack of machinery as no machinery was provided for the new town at the time of allotment. Considering that all the works were completed before the rains and by imposing rain emergency in our town and cancelling the leave of all the officers and staff, from this morning along with all the staff visited all the union councils in Manghopir, he said.
The problems that were seen earlier in our town are almost solved today, whether it is Yusuf Goth, Surjani or Manghopir Goth, in a very short time we have overcome all the problems to a large extent and hope we will soon present our town as a model town.
He expressed these views while visiting various UCs in the town.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Agha Khaliq, Vice Chairman Rana Arif, Superintendent Engineer Hasan, Sheikh, Karamullah Waqasi, Jamin Darwan, Sattar Brohi, Chairman Vice Chairman of all UCs, officers and staff of Water Corporation, Zonal Manager and Staff of Sindh Solid Waste, Sanitation Director of Manghopir Town and all staff were present.
