Open Kachehri held at Baba Bhit Island of sea shore regarding basic issues and their solutions by Mahigeer Bachao Ithad here on yesterday in which fishermen participated in a great number.
On that occasion Fishermen Irfan Umar, Dr Yousuf, Mehraj and others raised the issues of education, employment, health, sanitation, drugs and others in open Kachehri and told that fishing is their occupation which their forefathers have been doing from many centuries but at present FCS, Karachi Port Trust, Marine Fisheries Department, Sindh Fisheries Department, Karachi Fish Harbour and others have made wrong policies, so because of those wrong policies sea pollution problem has brought many dangers before fishing.
They further said that an Open chance is provided to corrupt, unable, false claimers and others who are looting fishermen in many ways.They said that unemployment and social problems are being increased rapidly.
On that occasion a consensus had been made to have combine effective endeavor for the achievement of fundamental rights and they announced protest on upcoming Friday also.
