Pakistan Fisher Folk forum commemorated week protest with civil society and Labour Organizations at Karachi Press Club against poverty and inequality here on yesterday.
Protesters were holding banners and play cards in their hands and were hailing slogans for justice provision.
On that occasion senior vice chairperson of Fisher Folk Fatima Majeed, general secretary Saeed Balouch, Nasir Mansoor, Karamat Ali, and representative of human rights organization Asad Butt led the protest and addressed protesters that poverty, inequality are being increased and economic of country is dying down due to the wrong policies and imposed taxes by rulers. They said that the whole wealth of world is in the hands of few people though 99 percent people are suffering from poverty, penury and scarcity of food also devoid from fundamental human rights.
They further said that as report of united nation in 2018 that poverty is increased in Pakistan, the salary and income of work men, farmers and Fishermen less than their needs even women who work in houses are deprived from appropriate salary cause of that majority can not tolerate the burden of dearness so as per result majority of people face dearth of food, health, education and other basic rights.
More over they said people’s basic rights are not provided to them because of that protest week is being observed throughout world against injustice and inequality so that state should play positive role in order to end them.
