Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (HEC) and Coursera partner to enhance the Digital Learning and Skills Enrichment Initiative (DLSEI).
The DLSEI initiative was conceived to bridge the gap between traditional pedagogy and modern skillset requirements. Through the initiative, the students can enhance their knowledge and acquire world-class skills from the comfort of their homes.
The partnership aims to equip Pakistani students with unparalleled educational and career opportunities by leveraging cutting-edge digital learning resources. To acknowledge the tireless efforts of focal persons from various Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) across the country, a Training & Awareness event was held at HEC Regional Center Karachi.
This event marks the instrumental role in promoting digital learning and enhancing the educational landscape in Pakistan. “HEC’s partnership with Coursera is a testament to our commitment to revolutionize education in Pakistan,” stated Mr. Javed Ali Memon, Director/ Incharge HEC Regional Center Karachi.
He maintained that through DLSEI, we are empowering our students to access high-quality professional qualifications from globally renowned institutions, enhancing their capability. He appreciated the Coursera focal persons for their pivotal role in disseminating information and timely approvals for eligible applicants. The DLSEI initiative was further promoted through webinars, online meetings, and live sessions, enabling a broader understanding of the benefits of Coursera’s online learning resources, he informed. He also paid homage to Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed (SI), Chairman HEC for his patronage in successfully executing DLSEI-like innovative initiatives for providing high-quality education and research opportunities to our students.
