Employees Union Chairman Abdul Maroof , President Nadeem Khokhar, General Secretary Dilawar Khan including all office bearers urged DG Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Nasir Abbas Soomro and Member Administration Sohail Khan to ensure the safety of Encroachment Department staff during at work.
Abdul Maroof Stated that as the encroachment department KDA staff perform work on the orders of DG KDA and management, they sometimes face resistance during work while removing encroachments on the land of KDA.
He said that Encroachment department staff usually injured during the removal of encroachments because of resistance and mob attack , on the other hand they were not provided any medical facility.
Moreover Chairman Employees Union shared that unfortunately FIRs also lodge against the staff of encroachment department but department has not provided legal support, whereas they perform their duty with dedication by the orders of management.
He demanded DG KDA and Member Administration KDA to provide legal protection and legal support to the encroachment department staff in case of any FIR lodge against them.
He asked the Top Officials of KDA to take measures for the redressal of said issue so that the employees of encroachment department could perform their duties without any fear.
