Employees Union demands Sindh Government for Payment of 340 Million Monthly Grant to KDA

KDA Employees Union President Nadeem Khokhar, General Secretary Dilawar Khan and Spokesman Abdul Maroof stated in a joint statement that, DG KDA has written a letter to the Secretary Local Government in which he had informed secretary about the issues of department .

KDA Employees Union Spokesman shared that, DG informed Secretary that the department was working under KMC for 14 years and from September 2016 it is working as a separate department and from the said period KDA is getting 200.4 Million Grant from Finance Department of Sindh Government .

Moreover he said that DG shared in a letter that, Federal and Provincial both governments increase salaries of employees from 10 to 15 percent but KDA is getting the same amount of grant from Sindh Government from last 4 years.

Abdul Maroof said that the DG asked Secretary Local Government that the current grant should be at least 340 Million which the department is not getting due to which employees are not getting salaries and pensions on time.

Whereas KDA generate funds from Land, Recovery and Marketing departments which has been closed due to the lockdown .

He stated that the department needs 34 crore grant to bear all the expenses including payment of salaries and pensions, he urged that Sindh Government should disbursed 34 crore for the period of six months until the situation of lockdown would not get normalize.

KDA Employees Union Panel appreciated the efforts of Director General Karachi Development Authority and vowed that Union stands with management in every positive step for the betterment of department as well as for the betterment of workers.
