Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) distributed cheques of the Ehsaas Scholarship among 149 deserving students on Saturday in an event organized by the Students Affairs department.
Registrar Dr Azam Khan along with Dr Zubair Ahmed Abbasi Principal SIOHS Professor, Professor Dr Mehmood Hussain Incharge Student Affairs Department, Professor Kiran Rafique (IPS-JSMU) and Dr Samreen Iqbal from IPTR distributed the cheques among the students.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon congratulated the scholarship recipients and the scholarship committee for encouraging the students to excel in their academics. He further said that it is the responsibility of the students to pay full attention to their studies in order to enlighten the name of the country not only at the national level but also at the international level.
The Chief guest of the event was Registrar Dr Azam Khan. In his speech, he congratulated all the students who received this scholarship, he emphasized the students to work hard; treat your Institute as Alma Mater; become good ambassador of the Institute. He elaborated that the administration of JSMU doing tremendous efforts to provide various facilities for the students. At the end, Prof Zubair Ahmed Abbasi gave vote of thanks, he advised students to do more efforts for their better survival in today’s competitive world.
Professor Dr Mehmood Hussain, head of the department of Prosthodontics and In-charge of the Student Affairs department, while addressing to the students, said that when you step into the practical field after graduating from the university, you should not forget to provide facilities to the people.
Mr Dilshad Hussain was the main Coordinator of the event, accompanied by Mr Ashar and Mr Shahriyar from the Students Affairs Department.
