A comprehensive three-day operation to collect and dispose of animal waste during Eid-ul-Adha was successfully carried out in Saddar Town. The operation was jointly executed by the Saddar Town Administration and Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, in coordination with the Saddar Town Sanitation Department.
Teams were actively engaged in removing offal from streets, neighborhoods, and main roads, ensuring its timely transportation to designated dumping points. From there, the waste was further shifted to the central dumping site for proper disposal.
Saddar Town Chairman Mansoor Ahmed Sheikh, accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Noor Hassan Jokhio and Director Sanitation Asim Ali Khan, visited various collection points across the town to oversee the ongoing operation. They instructed the relevant departments to ensure the prompt transfer of offal to the dumping sites.
Town officials, UC Chairmen, and Vice Chairmen also joined the inspection visits. During the visits, Chairman Mansoor Ahmed Sheikh also toured several UC offices and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the sanitation staff.
He further stated that, in addition to offal collection, lime powder was being sprayed at various locations to prevent the spread of germs and maintain hygiene. Appreciating the dedication of the elected municipal representatives, officers, and staff of Saddar Town, he remarked that their commitment to staying on the streets for all three days of Eid ensured a cleaner environment for the public.
Chairman Sheikh also extended heartfelt thanks to the residents of Saddar Town for their full cooperation during Eid-ul-Adha, which played a key role in the success of the cleanliness operation.
