Education Minister praises lifelong services of missionary schools in Sindh

Sindh Minister for Education and Culture Syed Sardar Ali Shah lauded the lifelog services of the missionary schools in Sindh.

Highlighting the untiring efforts of the principals, teachers and staff of the missionary educational institutions in the province, Shah announced that all the colonial-era school buildings will be restored and maintained one-by-one.

On Thursday, speaking at the ceremony organized by the Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Institutions Sindh of Sindh Education and Literacy Department at Sindh Boys Scout Headquarter, Shah said that he believed missionary schools have played a very important and constructive role.

“I salute you all and appreciate your efforts for the dedication and affections for the children of this land,” Shah said.

He said that he was aware of the role of such education institutions. “The role of the giver is paramount than the giver.”

The education minister said that he will speak to Sindh Chief Minister to set up an endowment fund by the provincial government. “It will support the functions of your institutions,” he added.

He said that he was aware of the difficulties the institutions have been facing for long time. “It is difficult to run the system and maintain the standard of education with low fee,” he said.

The principals, teachers and other staff of the missionary schools attended the ceremony where the education minister awarded them appreciation shields.
