KDA management is doing injustice through issuing payments to contractors despite paying the pension & Salaries of employees , as the employees of department are seeking for their salaries and pension from two months.
KDA Labour Union President Qamar uz Zafar shared these views while speaking about the issues of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) employees, he informed that the medical facility for retired employees has also stopped from a long period .
He said that, the department is getting 28 crore ruppes grant from sindh government to pay the pension and salaries of employees and officers as the department is not financially stable to pay the salaries and pension from its own financial resources.
While sharing about the generation of financial resources he told that the department should bound all 18 Executive engineers to identify commercial plots in their respective areas for auction and also take steps to remove encroachments if any on the identified commercial plot.
Moreover he also asked Director General KDA for general transfer in Land, Recovery and IT department of KDA to generate more revenue and to control corruption as officers in said departments are working on the same position from many years.
He also condemned the posting of other departments officers grade 18 officers in KDA on the seat of Grade 19.
Moreover he told that department has reportedly paid around 13 crore amount to contractors but the department employees are facing long delay in getting monthly salaries and pension.
He demanded from the DG KDA to ensure timely payment of pension and salaries to all the employees and officers of the department.
