Karachi; On the directions of Administrator DMC East, Syed Shakeel Ahmed, installation of dewatering has been ensured at important places in district east in advance while all possible steps are being taken to clean drains.
Administrator Syed Shakeel Ahmed inspected the dewatering pumps installed at various places and the work of cleaning the drain in Chishti Nagar UC-27 and Safoora near Mosamiyat and ensured the execution of the drain cleaning works under his supervision.
On this occasion, he said that dewatering pumps have been installed at important places, which will play an important role in carrying out the immediate drainage works, some time will be needed to deal with very heavy rains, but citizens will not have to face problems in case of normal rains.
He directed the officers not to show any negligence with regard to cleaning the drains to complete the cleaning of the drains of the KMC and DMC on an emergency basis.
He was accompanied by Senior Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto, Deputy Director DM Irshad Ali, Assistant Executive Engineer Rashid Fayyaz and other officers.
