CTD nabs MQM-London operative
KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department of Sindh police have apprehended a suspected operative of the MQM-London for his alleged involvement in a double murder case.
As per details, Muhammad Danish, also known as Kalu, or Mansoori, son of Abdul Sattar, was arrested during a raid in Bilal Colony near 4K Chowrangi in Surjani Town. He has reportedly played a key role in the murder of two persons named Abdul Waheed, also known as Kalu, and Achham.
During preliminary investigation, Danish disclosed that he had received instructions from his handlers in 2014 to kill two men who were the members of the Lyari gang war. A double murder case was registered at New Karachi Industrial Area police station in which a court later declared him proclaimed offender.
The CTD further revealed that the arrested suspect had relocated to Hyderabad to evade arrest but recently returned to Karachi and was apprehended.
Meanwhile, the police apprehended six individuals involved in criminal activities after encounters in various areas of the city. Five of the six apprehended criminals sustained injuries in the police fire.
The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) arrested three outlaws, two of them in injured condition, after a shootout near the National Highway Somar Goth Link Road between Friday and Saturday night.
