A gracious closing ceremony of One Day Sports events under the flag of DC South Sports Festival-23/24 was held at KPT Sports Complex, West Wharf, Karachi.
Earlier competitions for Archery, Squash, Wushu, Table Tennis and Teqball were organised with the assistance of KPT Sports Department.
Apart from these different sports, there was also a special wheelchair tennis match in which the Special Olympics players participated.
This grand event based on the above sports was organised to extend maximum opportunities to budding players, especially girls, to demonstrate their skills and capabilities and promote healthier sporting activities in District South Karachi.
The elegant closing ceremony was specially attended by Chairman KPT Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi, Capt. (R) Altaf H. Sario, DC South, Rear Admiral Habib Ur Rehman, GM (E) KPT, Brig (R) Tariq Bashir, GM Admin KPT, senior officers from KPT and DC South offices and a large number of joyous spectators.
In the end, all the event winners were awarded medals and trophies and participants were encouraged with certificates.
Chairman KPT and DC South, while addressing the ceremony, committed to continue organising such events more frequently and other co-curricular activities for the encouragement and promotion of our youth for healthier activities and for national competitions.
