City wardens, ambulance drivers involves in shifting ASH patients to private hospitals to earn commission
City Wardens posted at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) located in District Central Karachi have started transferring poor patients to private hospitals in the name of guiding them for better treatment.
However, The Free Ambulance Service drivers outside hospital gate started playing with the emotions of poor patients by telling them to shift their loved ones to other private hospital as there is no such facility available for patients in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
It was learned that, In the name of free ambulance service, these ambulance drivers transfer patients to private hospitals to earn commission.
However on anonymity of name an employee of ASH informed that, A fixed commission charge from private hospitals under fictitious names like referral, thread, token.
According to source, one day’s bill of private hospital is given to the city warden as a commission on shifting to a private hospital, after which 30% of the total bill is given to the city warden and ambulance driver when the patient is discharge.
In this game, the focus of ambulance drivers and city wardens is only to earn commission without caring the life of patient.
It was informed by the source that , Shah Medical Center, Midway General Hospital, Essa Medical Center and MS Hospital are reportedly on the top list in this whole game.
Whereas, allegedly City Wardens Kamran, Jahanzeb and Danish along with ambulance drivers Rana and Riyaz are those who involves in defaming Abbasi Shaheed Hospital name and looting poor karachiites.
Abbasi Shaheed Hospital senior employees asked from Commissioner Karachi, Administrator Karachi, Director Health Services Kmc and other law enforcement agencies to remove all the city wardens who involve in this scam and while fake , unauthenticated ambulance service should also be stopped immediately.
