Administrator Cattle-Friendly Market Shahab Ali has said cattle market is being held at Northern Bypass since last three years.
Addressing a press conference Shahab Ali said earlier cattle market was being organized at Super Highway for 22 years.
He informed that cattle market will consist of 1200 acres and 20 blocks.
Administrator Shahab Ali said that all things including food, water and fodder will be allowed to bring from outside while patrolling will continue from the Cow Mandi to the Gulshan e Maymar.
Shahab Ali said parking fees have been reduced by up to 50 percent. He explained that bikes will be charged 1600, cars 3250 and trucks 5000.
The tents, water and lights will be available free of charge. The cattle market is going to be decorated like a family festival and a food street will also be established for buyers here.
The capacity of 200,000 big animals and 100,000 small animals have been arranged in 1200 acre.
The traders can bring fodder and tents for their animals from outside, but they will not be allowed to sell them.
The administrator said that the VIP fee is 200,000 to 250,000, while all facilities will be free for the general public, stalls will be set up at a 50 percent discount for the health of the animals.
Ali told a media this is not just a cattle market but a family festival. A food street is being established in the cattle market. There are three times more police on the roads for the security of visitors .
Administrator Shahab Ali said that the number of free blocks has been increased. There are experienced people in the market and visitors complaints will be resolved.
He said journalists can enter the market by showing their cards.
The administration discussed illegal cattle market issue with Mayor Karachi and other officials. The entry fee for animals has been
reduced. A schedule of fees will be issued.
He informed that a team of doctors will also inspect animal while animal medicines will be provided at a 50% discount.
The opening ceremony will be held tomorrow. The Mayor of Karachi is likely inaugurate the opening.
The opening will take place from the 19th.
The banners will be placed on the roads of the market in two to four days.
To enter the market, people should come from Gulshan-e-Maymar instead of Northern Bypass.
The spokesperson of the cattle-friendly market said Umm e Aiman said that poor traders are coming to earn for the whole year.
She further said official page has been created about Cattle Market.
It is a Eid ul Adha culture festival and we are making it a family festival.
She said media persons will be provide every possible facility.
