Caritas Promoted the Kitchen Gardening at Household level ensuring availabilities of fresh vegetable to the low income Families.

Caritas Pakistan Karachi under their Promoting Kitchen Gardening to Addressing Food Insecurity in Urban Areas to fight again Hunger” project organized Training on Kitchen gardening with Low Income Families on 19th of August, 2024 at Khuda Basti, St. Michael’s, Karachi.
The aim of the Kitchen gardening Training and distribution of Vegetable Seeds and tools was to promote production of healthy vegetable for self-consumption and eat chemical- free vegetable to improve the health and nutrition of those who cannot afford pricey basic commodities.

Caritas Pakistan Karachi organized kitchen gardening training program to overcome food shortages and to address the rising prices of daily-use vegetables which not only ensure financial benefits but also helps to improve our health and address environment concerns.

Caritas distributed the kitchen gardening kit of 9 seeds of different vegetables i.e.. Carrot, radish, spinach, fenugreek, coriander, tomato, bottle gourd, eggplants and beans with tools of water shower, gardening trowel and organic compost bag.
