Captain Jamil Ahmed asks Federal & Sindh Govt to compensate Keemari incident victims families
PTI Member of National Assembly for NA-237 Malir urged for immediate payment of compensation to the family members of every Keemari toxic gas incident.
A Session of National Assembly Standing-Committee on Maritime Affairs held on Wednesday under the presidency of Chairman Committee Nawabzada Ameer Magsi, Whereas PTI Legislator and a member of standing committee Captain Jamil Ahmed Khan also attended the session.
During the Session PTI MNA Captain Jamil take up the issue of Keemari incident .However he urged to the chairman of committee for probe regarding the incident on priority basis and determine the responsible persons.
PTI Legislator raise question that what safety majors KPT have taken to get rid on these types of incidents and Are Anti Dust Filters installed at Karachi Port to get safe from soybean dust .
He claimed that KPT is also responsible for the said incident which took several lives of citizens who were living in the surrounding area of Karachi Port.
Sources informed that during the session PPP MNA Qadir Patel blamed federal government for the said incident and Federal Minister Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi blamed Provincial government.
While the session Member of Standing Committee Captain Jamil Ahmed claimed that both Federal and Provincial Governments responsible for the keemari incident. It occurred due to the inadequacies of both governments departments.
He demanded in the session that despite of blaming each other both federal and provincial government should compensate the family members of deceased , whose loved ones lost their life in the said incident.
