British High Commission delegation visits NARI Foundation Office in Sukkur
Delegation from the British High Commission including Ms.Muna Shamsuddin (Deputy Head of Mission British High Commission) and Ms.Jessica Eccles visited NARI foundation office Sukkur and interacted with NARI Foundation team.
The team members including women Activist, Ms.Afshan Asgher (Chairperson NARI Foundation),Mr.Anwar Mahar (Executive Director NARI Foundation),Ms.Azra Jamal,Ms.Fatima Naeem, Ms.Shazia Abbasi,Advocate Arifa Mangi and Mr.Mohsin Ali, and Abeer Fatima met with the delegation.
The main purpose of their visit was to know about the NARI foundation and the work NARI foundation is doing from its start.
Jessica and Muna observed that Human Rights organizations in Pakistan are playing significant role in spreading awareness among masses, and it is great to see NARI Foundation is specifically catering to Women Rights.
They said, although it is seen that Pakistan has made multiple laws to safeguard Human Rights and Women Rights, still a lot is needed to be done to implement these laws in letter and spirit.
The delegation appreciated the Foundation’s much-coveted contributions in pursuit of upholding Human Rights and Women’s Rights in Pakistan .
NARI Foundation Executive Director syltated that, It was immense pleasure welcoming them and introducing them to our organizations accomplished and on-going projects.
