Nishtar Basti School, managed under the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town administration, hosted an award ceremony to honor students for their outstanding performance in the annual exams.
The event was graced by Chief Guests including Chairman Dr. Fauad Ahmed, who congratulated the students by presenting them with awards, shields, and certificates. During his speech, Dr. Fauad Ahmed underlined that a nation’s progress depends greatly on education.
He explained that the school has improved its infrastructure and has taken steps to support its teachers.
One of the most impactful measures was the distribution of free uniforms and school bags for students. This initiative was aimed at easing the financial burden on families and encouraging more children to pursue education.
As a result, the school witnessed a remarkable 50% increase in student enrollment.
Dr. Fauad emphasized the importance of giving children from low-income families the same quality education as others, so they can grow into confident and educated citizens. He described education as a powerful force that guides society from darkness to light.
The ceremony was attended by Education Committee Chairperson Asma Tahira, Director of Education Azeem Haider, teachers, parents, and many students.
A heartfelt collective prayer was also offered for the people of Gaza, reflecting the school’s spirit of compassion and global solidarity. The day ended with the distribution of additional awards to top-performing students.
