Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh has said that the past is witness that those who did not bear the cost of books made a name for themselves in the country by getting high degrees by availing them from libraries.
The importance of libraries is still in place in today’s modern age.
He expressed these views during the inspection of libraries along with Superintending Engineer B&R Salman Memon and Director Libraries Talat Shakeel.
During the inspection of Akhtar Colony Library, Shafi Dehlavi Library,he directed that steps should be taken to provide a calm environment to the readers in the said libraries, renovate the buildings and provide an calm and quiet environment that can help readers for education and satisfaction of the taste of study,he also issued instructions for modernizing libraries.
On the occasion, Director Libraries Talat Shakeel briefed him on the libraries in dmc east and said that there are also ancient libraries in the dmc east which have been benefited by countless people and people are still benefiting from it.
She thanked administrator dmc East for passing orders to improve the condition of libraries.
