Municipal Commissioner East Waseem Mustafa Soomro has said that encroachments should not be allowed to flourish at any place within the limits of his district and in any case the elements involved in the illegal act should be rooted out.
These views were expressed by Wasim Mustafa Soomro while addressing a meeting with District East officers.
The Municipal Commissioner said that no sacrifice should be avoided for the provision of facilities and amenities to the people of East District and decisive action should be initiated against the patrons of encroachments at various places.
Wasim Mustafa Soomro said in an exclusive interview that in the light of the directives of the Sindh Local Government Minister, the siege has been tightened against those involved in illegal construction or encroachments at any place in the entire district and anti-encroachment campaign in District East on a daily basis is being accelerated.
Municipal Commissioner East said that the identification of altars for holding mass sacrifices on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha has been started and inshallah now the piles of rubbish and dirt have been cleared.
Wasim Soomro added that The uninterrupted cleaning of storm drains in the limits is in progress and all the concerned agencies including all the solid waste are carrying out their responsibilities under an integrated and comprehensive strategy.
