A state of the art SSUET Fitness Centre launched
Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) held a launching ceremony of the SSUET Fitness Centre that was inaugurated by the CEO Aimal Builders and Developers, Syed Afzal Hameed. The event was attended by the Dean, Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir, Dean, Faculty of Computing & Applied Science, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif, Chairman Computer Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Shakeel including a large number of students.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chief Guest, CEO of Aimal Builders and Developers, Syed Afzal Hameed, said that the Administration of Sir Syed University consistently fulfills its responsibilities of providing facilities to the students. He promised to provide air-conditioners in the fitness center very soon. He also assured to fulfil his commitment of building SSUET Gymnasium Hall and the construction work will start within one or two months.
Speaking on the auspicious occasion Vice Chancellor SSUET, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin, said that we want to improve the infrastructure of the university with the cooperation of the concerned experts and organizations. It is very important to provide services to the youth to ensure their health. Bodybuilding Association has cooperated with us a lot and provided equipment for the fitness center for which we are thankful to them. Sir Syed University has been recognized in sports not only at the university level but also at the national level. Higher Education Commission is also benefiting from the expertise and services of the SSUET Sports Department in their sports events.
Registrar SSUET, Commodore (r) Engr. Syed Sarfraz Ali said that the university decided to open a fitness center for students and staff to enjoy the benefits of working out on a regular basis and stay fit and healthy. Fitness centers can provide you with motivation and support. Access to professional equipment and supportive instruction will be a guiding tool on your path to success.
Acting Convenor Sports, Qazi Nasar Abbas, said that the lack of outdoor activities and poor health demands the opening of fitness centers to keep youth healthy and fit. Fitness Center provides the youth with an opportunity to be disciplined, which is required to attain excellence and future success.
Director Sports SSUET, Mubashir Mukhtar, said that the SSUET Fitness Center has high-quality professional equipment that allows you to reach your workout goals, providing you with various options. He also thanked to the CEO Afzal Hameed of Aimal Builders for sponsorship and appreciated Muhammad Iqbal of Sindh Bodybuilding Association for giving equipment in setting up fitness center.
Head of the Electrical Engineering Department of Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr. Madad Ali Shah, General Secretary of Sindh Bodybuilding Association, Muhammad Iqbal, and General Secretary of Karachi Bodybuilding Association, Aamir Ullah Khan also spoke on the occasion.
