Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Shujaat Hussain met with the delegation recommended by the World Bank .

DG KDA Syed Shujaat Hussain said that according to the guidelines issued by the Sindh government, a systematic plan is being prepared for the improvement of the city infrastructure .

He stated that, It is planned to construct 3 roads around Korangi Extension, Kashmir Road to Shahrah Faisal and Dumloti Road will be directly connected to Shahrah Faisal due to which the traffic pressure is expected to be significantly reduced on Preedy Street and Shahrah Faisal.

The representatives of the delegation expressed complete satisfaction with the strategy of Karachi Development Agency and asked that a feasibility report should be prepared after completing the survey.

DG KDA said that a large number of local people are likely to be displaced due to the construction of the road, so the Sindh government will provide an alternative place to more than 6 thousand local people .
The delegation assured that the World Bank is ready to play its full role for the development of the city.

The representatives of the delegation further said that the seminar on resettlement and the training process will be organised soon by world bank.

The representatives recommended by the World Bank were Institutional Development Specialist Muhammad Moin, Social Development Specialist Muhammad Aman, Director Planning P&D Department Government of Sindh Ghulam Murtaza Abro, Resettlement Specialist (PCM) Shafiqur Rahman While Chief Engineer KDA Tariq Rafi, Member Administration KDA Naveed Anwar, Secretary KDA Behzad Aamir Memon and other officers were also present on this occasion.
