Minister of Labour Sindh Saeed Ghani suddenly visited various roads and areas of district east after the rains and inspected the post-rainy situation.
He was accompanied by Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh, Director DM Tauqeer Abbas and others.
He inspected the shahra e Faisal, Nursery, Stadium Road, Road adjacent to PTV station, University Road and other roads.
Labour Minister Sindh Saeed Ghani directed that drainage issues should be ensured with the help of other machinery including de-watering pumps where water is accumulated, it is difficult to carry out drainage issues during rains but relief should be provided to the people by expediting drainage issues as soon as rains stop, he said.
On the information of a fire in the building near usmania Restaurant University Road, he reached there along with Administrator Rahmatullah Sheikh, DC East Tariq Chandio and supervised the fire fighting work under his supervision and directed the concerned agencies to reach the spot and control the situation.
Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh Briefed the provincial minister on the occasion and said that all possible steps have been taken by DMC East in respect of rains, de-watering pumps have been installed and drainage issues are being carried out where there are complaints of water logging.
All possible arrangements are being ensured He added he further said if more rains not arrived the roads will be cleared soon.
