Director Advertisement DMC East Hammad Khan issued directives to all Advertisers for removal of advertising panels/screens, pastings and screens from rooftop and buildings on priority basis to avoid any loss of life and property.
The Director Advertisement issued said directives on the forecast of strong winds/thunderstorm monsoon rain by The Pakistan Metrological Department.
According to Metrological Department thunderstorm /rain is expected in Karachi from 30th June 2022 to 5th July 2022.
However, Director Advertisement DMC East through letter to all Advertisers Imposed Complete ban on all panels and rooftop display of Advertisement Activity within the jurisdiction of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East.
Moreover, Hammad Khan also warned advertisers that in case of negligence advertiser shall be held responsible and department shall be liable to initiate strict action as per rules and policy.
