The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh, in its official press statement, strongly condemns the continued protection and favoritism being extended to Dr. Shehzad Ali, despite being found guilty of harassment by the official inquiry committee of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and the Health Department, Government of Sindh.
YDA Sindh, through the press statement, demands strict action against those responsible for sheltering him and calls for immediate implementation of disciplinary measures as per the findings of the inquiry.
YDA Sindh, in its press statement, highlights that following the inquiry, the Secretary of Health Sindh had ordered Dr. Shehzad Ali’s removal from JPMC and directed that he be reported to Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU).
However, despite these clear directives, he continues to receive undue favors from certain individuals within JPMC and JSMU, allowing him to remain active in official matters.
YDA Sindh, through the official press statement, expresses grave concern over the fact that he still participates in Tumor Board meetings and remains part of JPMC’s official groups, raising serious concerns about institutional accountability and the lack of enforcement of disciplinary actions.
Through the press statement, YDA Sindh further reveals that Dr. Shehzad Ali has now submitted an application to the Academic Council seeking reinstatement, with unjust support from some members. YDA Sindh, in this official press statement, categorically rejects any such move and warns that reinstating a proven culprit would be an insult to the dignity and safety of female doctors across Pakistan.
YDA Sindh strongly asserts in this press statement that allowing such individuals to continue in professional roles without consequences sets a dangerous precedent and threatens workplace safety for female doctors.
In the official press statement, YDA Sindh demands immediate and strict action from the Chief Minister Sindh, Chief Secretary Sindh, Health Minister Sindh, and Health Secretary Sindh to ensure that justice prevails and institutional integrity is maintained.

YDA Sindh warns in this press statement that any further attempts to protect Dr. Shehzad Ali will be met with strong resistance, including province-wide protests by young doctors.
